The reason might be adding of non-diamond materials. But they are indeed of high quality as the flaws can be seen under 10 x magnifications not by bare eyes. VS1 and VS2 are those types of diamond stones where inclusion of non-diamond materials can be seen in the open eyes. SI1 and SI2, I1 and I2, I3 are some other diamond varieties where flaw is visible.
